The Origin is the annual best-of-three series of rugby league football matches between The Blues and The Maroons, who represent the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland, respectively.
The Maroons or "the cane toads" as they are nicknamed, hold the record for the most consecutive series wins of 8 in a row (2006-2013). The Maroons are famous for their never say die attitude and boast an all star line up.
